Welcome to the Basic Editor Training program. This is a 1-week program aimed at orienting you to the basics of language and academic editing.

In this program, you will be oriented to

• the nuances of grammar (article usage, punctuation, etc.)
• sentence construction (fixing awkward sentences, etc.)
• comprehension (capturing the client's intended meaning)
• referencing (fact-checking using Google)

At the end of the program, we will gauge your practical application. You will be asked to edit 3 assignments ranging from 500 to 3000 words.You will receive detailed feedback on these assignments. Based on how you perform on these 3 assignments, you will be moved to Phase 1.
